You must not:
- Create an account using false information
- Impersonate another person
- Use another person's account without authorization
- Create multiple accounts for fraudulent purposes
- Attempt to bypass account restrictions
4. Event Organizers
Event organizers are responsible for the events they publish through Eventedia.
An organizer is responsible for ensuring that event information is:
- Accurate
- Complete
- Current
- Lawful
- Not misleading
- Consistent with the actual event
Organizers are responsible for:
- Event planning
- Venues
- Event operations
- Event personnel
- Required permissions and approvals
- Event safety
- Ticket terms
- Refund policies
- Event cancellation
- Communication with attendees
- Compliance with applicable requirements
- Delivery of the event as advertised
Eventedia does not assume responsibility for the physical organization or operation of an event merely because the event is listed on the platform.
5. Event Listings
Eventedia may review, approve, reject, restrict, suspend or remove event listings.
An event may be removed or restricted where Eventedia reasonably believes that the event:
- Contains fraudulent information
- Violates these Terms
- Violates platform policies
- Infringes third-party rights
- Creates a security or safety concern
- Involves unlawful activity
- Misuses Eventedia services
- May expose Eventedia or its users to material risk
6. Ticket Purchases
When purchasing a ticket through Eventedia, you agree to:
- Provide accurate information
- Pay the displayed amount
- Review the event information before purchase
- Review applicable ticket conditions
- Review applicable refund conditions
- Use the ticket only in accordance with its terms
- Keep your ticket and order information secure
A ticket may be cancelled, invalidated or restricted where the transaction is fraudulent, reversed, duplicated or otherwise invalid.
7. Ticket Verification
Eventedia may provide ticket-scanning or ticket-verification services.
Organizers and authorized ticket scanners may verify:
- Ticket validity
- Ticket status
- Order information
- Entry status
- Other information necessary to authenticate admission
Users must not duplicate, alter, resell fraudulently or otherwise misuse Eventedia tickets.
8. Eventedia Fees
Eventedia may charge fees for services including:
- Ticket sales
- Event listings
- Withdrawals
- Event promotion
- Affiliate services
- Other platform services
Applicable fees will be displayed or communicated through the platform.
Fees may be deducted automatically from applicable transactions or organizer balances.
9. Current Platform Fees
Unless otherwise stated by Eventedia:
| Fee | Current Rate |
|---|---|
| System Fee | K2.00 per ticket |
| Event Fee | 5% |
| Default Affiliate Commission | 1% |
| Event Listing Fee | K0.00 |
| Withdrawal Fee | 3% |
| Event Boost Fee | K500 |
| Boost Period | 30 days |
| Top Events Capacity | 4 events |
Eventedia may update these rates in accordance with its Fee Schedule. See the full Fees and Charges page for details and worked examples.
10. Payments
Eventedia may support payment methods including:
- Airtel Money
- MTN Money
- Zamtel Money
- Visa
- Other payment methods introduced through the platform
Payments may be processed by third-party payment providers.
Eventedia Hub Limited is not responsible for delays, interruptions, rejected payments or technical failures caused by external payment systems.
11. Organizer Balances
Amounts credited to an organizer may be subject to deductions including:
- Platform fees
- Affiliate commissions
- Refunds
- Reversals
- Withdrawal fees
- Chargebacks
- Transaction adjustments
- Other disclosed deductions
Eventedia may place a temporary hold on funds where necessary to investigate:
- Suspicious transactions
- Fraud
- Refunds
- Chargebacks
- Disputes
- Account security issues
- Other material risks
12. Withdrawals
Funds generated from ticket sales for an event become eligible for withdrawal once the event has taken place, rather than immediately after a ticket is sold. Organizers may then request withdrawal of eligible funds through available Eventedia withdrawal methods.
This approach exists because Eventedia's Refund and Returns Policy allows attendees to request a refund up to 7 days before an event. Holding organizer proceeds until the event date allows any eligible refund requests to be processed before funds are released, which protects attendees, reduces the risk of an organizer being asked to return funds already withdrawn, and reduces financial risk to the platform.
A withdrawal may be subject to:
- Minimum withdrawal requirements
- Applicable withdrawal fees
- Account verification
- Transaction verification
- Security checks
- Processing periods
- Payment-provider requirements
Eventedia may delay a withdrawal while an account or transaction is being reviewed, or while an event remains within its applicable refund window.
See the Fees and Charges page for the current withdrawal fee, and the Refund and Returns Policy for full refund eligibility details.
13. Event Boosting
Event organizers may purchase promotional placement through Eventedia's Top Events feature.
A boost is subject to:
- Payment confirmation
- Event eligibility
- Available promotional space
- The applicable boost period
- Eventedia's platform rules
The current standard boost period is 30 days and the standard boost fee is K500.
Eventedia currently provides up to four Top Events promotional positions.
A boost does not guarantee:
- Ticket sales
- Attendance
- Revenue
- Engagement
- Search ranking
- Any particular level of exposure
14. Affiliate Programme
Eventedia may provide an affiliate programme allowing approved users to promote events using referral links.
Where an eligible ticket sale is attributed to an affiliate, the affiliate may receive a commission based on the applicable commission rate.
Affiliate commissions may be withheld or reversed in cases involving:
- Refunds
- Cancelled transactions
- Fraud
- Duplicate transactions
- Invalid referrals
- Self-referrals
- Manipulation
- Abuse of the affiliate system
15. Donations and Fundraising
Where enabled, Eventedia may allow organizers to receive donations through eligible events.
